About Tesla OneTap

Tesla OneTap is an independent utility with one job: hand a Tesla buyer a verified owner referral link in a single click, then be honest about exactly what that link is worth — by model, on a dated basis. The tool is the whole site; the rest is the receipts.

Who writes this

Jordan Ellery — Tesla owner & referral-program researcher. Placeholder author: replace with a real named person and credentials before launch (see README). The referral facts here are checked against primary sources and re-verified whenever Tesla changes its program.

How we're different

Most referral sites either hard-code one link or hand you a random one and stop. We keep the one-click tool and publish the dated benefit numbers, a plain-English how-it-works, a link-vs-code explainer, and the exact method we use to verify every link.

What this site deliberately does not publish

Most of what makes a referral page useful is what it leaves out, so it is worth listing the omissions rather than letting them look like gaps.

Tesla's prices. We do not reproduce the price list. It changes without notice, a stale price is worse than no price, and Tesla's own configurator is one click away and always right. Any page quoting a Tesla price is a page that will be wrong at some point and will not know it.
Spec sheets. Range, acceleration and trim contents belong to the manufacturer's page for the same reason. Copying them adds nothing a reader could not get more reliably, and it pads a page in a way that looks substantial while ageing badly.
Delivery estimates. They vary by market, configuration and week. We would be guessing, and a guess about someone's delivery date is the sort of thing that gets planned around.
A single figure for what the reward is worth. Its value depends on how and where you charge. We publish the method and let you reach a number that is actually yours — including a smaller one than ours, if that is the truth for you.

The common thread: we try to publish the things that stay true — the mechanics, the order of operations, what the benefit is and is not — and to link out for everything that moves.

Why that makes for shorter pages, and why we accept it

This has a visible cost. Pages that decline to restate prices and specs are shorter than competitors' pages, and shorter pages can look less authoritative at a glance.

We think the trade is worth making, for a reason that has nothing to do with taste. A referral page's whole claim on your attention is that it is accurate about a small, fast-moving thing. Padding it with copied data that will silently rot undermines exactly that claim — and the reader who catches one stale figure is right to distrust the rest of the page, including the parts that were carefully checked.

So what you get here is deliberately narrow: how a referral attaches, when it can be lost, what it is worth in principle and how to work out your own figure, plus dated notes when the programme changes. For anything Tesla controls and can change tomorrow, we send you to Tesla.

And the rule that follows from all of it: if your order summary disagrees with this site, your order summary is correct. It is the one document in this process that is current by definition.
