Referral & affiliate disclosure

What the relationship actually is, how a link ends up in front of you, and where our independence stops and Tesla's program begins.

The links on this site are Tesla owner referral links. When a buyer uses one at checkout, the buyer receives the referral benefit and the owner who shared the link may earn Tesla Credits — at no extra cost to the buyer. We mark every outbound referral link rel="nofollow sponsored noopener", and the tool never asks for a signup, email, or payment before handing you a link.

How a link actually gets shown to you

We don't run one link forever. Owners submit their ts.la/… link through Share yours; we check it resolves to a live owner link before it joins a pool. Every page load, the tool picks one link from that pool at random and renders it — the same code for the visible text, the copy button, and every "Open at Tesla" link on that page, so they never disagree with each other. No single owner's link is favored, and the pool is rebuilt only from links we've re-checked.

What we get, what you get

We don't take a cut of Tesla Credits and we don't charge owners to list a link. Our incentive is simpler and stated plainly: a useful, accurate tool keeps people coming back and keeps owners submitting fresh links. If that ever changes — a paid placement, a sponsored slot, anything beyond the referral mechanic described here — this page gets rewritten the same day it happens, not quietly.

Editorial independence

Nobody pays us to write favorably about the referral program, and no owner pays for placement. The benefit numbers on this site (the FSD trial, the Solar credit, the $250 owner reward) come from Tesla's own program terms, not from any deal with Tesla — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc., and we'd say so even if a figure changed for the worse.

Trademark notice

"Tesla", "Model 3", "Model Y", "Cybertruck" and related names are trademarks of Tesla, Inc. We use them only to refer to the products they name (nominative use) — never to imply Tesla runs or endorses this site.

Accuracy & corrections

We cite primary sources (listed on About) and stamp the date we last verified the program on every page that states a figure. Program terms change; when they do, we correct the affected page and move its "verified" date rather than leaving a stale number live. Spot something off? Tell us which figure and where you saw it at hello@teslaonetap.com — we re-check against the primary source and fix it, credited or not, because the tool is only useful if the numbers are right. Last verified 13 July 2026.
